Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin sentenced to 22.5 years for the murder of George Floyd.

Around 1:30pm Friday June 25th, former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin appeared in court to be sentenced for the murder of George Floyd. After a brief recess, Judge Cahill read the sentence ordering Chauvin to serve 270 months, about 22 1/2 years in custody. The full sentencing order may be read here.
